STUDENT STORIES & TESTIMONIALS

North Shore Academy has been a huge part of my academic journey, helping me adapt and prepare for post-secondary education. Throughout my time at NSA, I have developed essential skills and habits that will benefit me for years to come. This program has taught me independence, perseverance, and effective time management, qualities that will serve me well in both academics and life beyond school. Despite the hybrid learning model, the teachers and staff at NSA go above and beyond to support every student athlete. They genuinely care about our growth, ensuring that we not only meet expectations but exceed them.

Since making the transition to NSA, I’ve started to love school again. The traditional model created a lot of anxiety because the system didn’t have the tools to support my training schedule. I’m now living my best life due to the flexibility and individual support I receive at NSA

North Shore Academy isn’t just a school, it’s a community. One which truly empowers its students. As a parent and former staff member, I’ve experienced first-hand how they offer the perfect balance between flexibility and structure for student-athletes. The staff is committed to each student’s needs and works above and beyond to achieve independence, resilience, and foster the love of learning. Their individual approach and hybrid model ensure students can excel academically while still pursuing their athletic goals at a level of excellence. I’ve witnessed numerous students, including my own, gain confidence and enthusiasm for school, and thrive in this supportive, student-centered environment.

EA & Parent

During my time at NSA, I developed skills and acquired knowledge that benefited me while attending school, and will continue to in the future. The expectations that my teachers had for my schoolwork prepared me for what post-secondary school will be like. The flexible and independent learning style enhanced my time-management and persistence skills, which allowed me to exceed as a student athlete.  With such a caring and supportive staff to guide me, I was able to grow as a student, and became more successful in my work.  Not only did they push me to achieve my best academically, but they grew to feel like family as well. I always appreciated the sense of community at school and made life-long friends and connections thanks to my time at NSA.
